Project Year: 2009

By considering the climate of Khuzestan, that was located in a warm and humid zone, the primary mass was divided into four linear single layer spaces, to create maximum natural ventilation, to avoid heat storage in interior spaces, and to decrease energy consumption.

Also inspired by the vernacular architecture, the main functions, consist of official spaces, were put on the first and second floors and most of the service spaces were located on the ground floor.

Furthermore, to moderate and to diffuse the direct impact of solar radiation, large openings, pilots, terraces, high rise spaces, some types of flexible wooden shaders as a second skin (originated from indigenous architecture) and green spaces in the central courtyards and green roofs were used.
