According to the site location in the middle of the lake, the primary mass was seen as a tall cube to be visible from different sides of the lake or other points of the city as a monument. Also, an organic pedestrian path crosses from inside the volume and connects two opposite sides of the lake.
The height of the memorial is the symbol of the resistance of national heroes. Also, the facade of the monument was covered with a modern type of Islamic traditional calligraphy to reminder the old culture. Furthermore, lighting was designed as a vertical line to the sky as a symbol of ascension.
