Location: Tehran, Iran
Project Year: 2015
The project main idea was designing the bridge and the park space as integrated unit with a unit axis inspired by the geometry of Iranian gardens. The main axis stretched on horizontal axis from west to east, based on site location, with emphasis on available perspectives to the city.
The site topography and location on the Resalat tunnel were two important challenges that shaped terracing adjusting with site’s ups and downs and also cause to light mass establishment on the ground.
The shape of the bridge organized by ramps and escalators to create easy access to surrounding streets, to make specific places to see around, to create continuous circulation, and to mix gathering and passing places along the way. Furthermore, the project proposed to use simple horizontal patterns for neighborhood units to prevent from visual inconsistency.
